  • Most of our customers choose to pay their bills via Direct Debit, and for good reasons:

    • Save up to £801a year. We'll give you a discount of £40 per year, per fuel, if you pay by Direct Debit. 
    • No hassle, no late payments. Because we take payment automatically, you don't have to remember to pay by a specific date.
    • You're protected. You're covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee, which means you can cancel your Direct Debit by speaking to your bank.

    There are two Direct Debit options:

    • With monthly Direct Debit, we take payment of the same amount on the same day of each month. This is calculated to cover your bills over the year.

      It helps you spread the cost of your energy throughout the year rather than paying more in winter. We'll also refund any credit balance over £5 at the end of your annual billing cycle.
    • If you choose quarterly Direct Debit, we'll automatically take payment to cover your whole bill each quarter.

      The date and amount of each quarterly Direct Debit payment will be shown on your bill for that quarter.

    If you prefer not to pay by Direct Debit, we'll be happy to send you bills quarterly instead. You can pay once you receive them, using these methods:

    • Pay online. As long as you're registered for an online account (it only takes a moment), you can sign in and make payments any time.

      To make a payment, sign in and then follow the instructions to pay by credit or debit card.
    • On the phone. When you need to make a payment, call 0345 071 9603*. We'll take your payment by credit or debit card.
    • By post. Each bill will include a payment slip. Fill this in and send it to us with a cheque or postal order.

      Cheques should be payable to "M&S Energy". Write your customer account number on the back, so we can record the payment correctly.
